I was first introduced to yoga by my mother when I was 15 as she thought it would help with the breathing difficulties I always had as a child. I took some classes and enjoyed them immensely but it took me a long time to truly get it and to fully understand what yoga does and what its benefits are. In my mid-teens I was just too restless and unable to concentrate. Many years later after numerous classes, courses and instructions from some of the best teachers in the world, I feel I can finally incorporate yoga into my daily life without it being a chore and now it brings me only joy and a sense of calm.
